Feeding the community: Making a difference one meal at a time

Sign In Enterprise has a longstanding tradition of community involvement, having partnered with transition houses, mental health organizations and blanket drives in the past. Despite the pandemic-induced limitations for in-person activities, our commitment to supporting our community remained steadfast. With the world opening up to normalcy, we continue to encourage our employees to engage in charitable activities, and make a positive impact.

Last week, on a typical rainy Vancouver afternoon, our Vancouver team organized a volunteer event at the Greater Vancouver Food Bank. The team was divided into different stations, including cleaning, welcoming other volunteers, and distributing food to families and individuals in need.

Our team was excited to participate in the event, and found the experience both eye-opening and fulfilling. They saw a diverse range of visitors, including young and old, single mothers, and Ukrainian families who had fled their country. Some team members had volunteered at the food bank previously, and it was touching for them to see the return of familiar faces as well as new ones.

The impact of the volunteer event was far-reaching. The food bank was able to provide food to many individuals that way, and the employees of Sign In Enterprise played an instrumental role in achieving this feat. Our team also felt a sense of pride in being a part of a company that genuinely cares about its local community, and are looking forward to our next event.

As one of our employees said, “Seeing the impact we can make when we come together is truly inspiring. Let’s keep up the good work and continue to make a difference in the world!”.
